Child Health Education and Revalidation (CHER): ‘Is he good normal?’- Supporting Parents with Infant Sleep, Feeding and Behaviour, Newcastle Wednesday 10th May 2017: Study day open to GPs, Paediatric doctors and allied medical colleagues looking at what is normal in healthy infants’ feeding, sleep and behaviour, and how to support parents through challenges in these areas.

Association of Breastfeeding Mothers Annual Conference: Back to Breastfeeding Basics, London Saturday 17th June 2017: The annual conference of the ABM. With guest speaker Toni Harman talking on the microbiome and breastfeeding and practical workshops to facilitate learning on a range of lactation skills.

The Breastfeeding Festival 2017, Manchester Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June 2017: Festival celebrating and promoting breastfeeding, aiming to increase breastfeeding rates and duration, as well as to inform and empower parents.

Association of Tongue-Tie Practitioners Conference 2017, The Slate, Coventry Friday 30th June 2017: The annual conference of the Association of Tongue-Tie Practitioners, featuring talks from Professor Angus Cameron, Paediatric Dentistry and Dr Rachel Wakelin, General Practitioner.

First Steps Nutrition Trust: Best Foot Forward- Getting Good Nutrition Right from the Start, London Wednesday 26th April 2017: The second annual conference of the independent public health nutrition charity that provides information and resources to support eating well from pre-conception to five years. The theme was good nutrition in the first year of life. GPIFN was an exhibitor at the conference and introduced this website.

LCGB Conference & AGM 2017: 21st Century Breastfeeding, Derbyshire Friday April 7th and Saturday April 8th 2017: Conference and AGM of the Lactation Consultants of Great Britain.

Mothers and Depression, Islington, London Friday 11th November 2016: Study Day for healthcare professsionals  and lactation supporters focusing on how the infant feeding relationship can impact on maternal mental health. The expert speakers will be Kathleen Kendall-Tackett PhD IBCLC FAPA (a leading authority on maternal depression and the relationship between breastfeeding and depression) and Dr Wendy Jones PhD MRPharmS (Specialist Pharmacist with expertise in the safety of Drugs in Breastmilk and head of the Breastfeeding Network’s Drugs in Breastmilk Helpline).

The Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative Annual Conference, Birmingham Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th November 2016: The UK’s highest profile event on infant feeding issues, addressing topical research and practice issues of crucial importance to health professionals and commissioners of health care.

Breastfeeding Network Annual Conference and AGM, Bury Saturday 8th October 2016: The Annual Conference and AGM of the Breastfeeding Network which runs the Drugs In Breastmilk Information Helpline and trains breastfeeding peer supporters.

Growing Families: Facts, Fiction and Other Stuff, Manchester Thursday 6th October 2016: Conference for parents, expectant parents and those working to support parents, covering the latest evidence on baby care and the choices new parents face.
